The "Bhagavad Gita" was revealed to Arjuna by Lord Krishna Himself in the battlefield of Kurukshetra, when Arjuna was suffering from despair to fight with ill forces of Kaurvas out of his so-called relationship context with them.

The text is written in third person, narrated by Sanjaya to King Dhritarashtra as it transpired between Sri Krishna and Arjuna. Sanjaya, the secretary of the blind King Dhritarashtra, the Kaurva's King.
